Controller (Parkway Honda)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise, lead and direct all aspects of the accounting department in our Honda dealership working both from Scarborough and Markham.
• Posting vehicle sale deals and other transactional data.
• Oversee and assist with Accounts Receivables and Accounts Payables. 
• Prepare key monthly reconciliations. 
• Monthly remittances and regulatory filings
• Compilation of data for and completing Payroll processing
• Ability to prepare a complete financial statement monthly according to guidelines and the manufacturer's format
• Analyze and generate financial reports to local and group management in a timely and accurate manner.
• Other duties, projects, etc. as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of Controller accounting experience in a dealership with a thorough knowledge of financial and accounting practices & procedures,
• Strong accounting technical knowledge including financial statement preparation 
• Strong knowledge with CDK Drive and PBS DMS software. 
• University degree or adequate experience in the accounting field. 
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
