Compensation Specialist – Weins Canada Inc.

We are seeking a motivated Compensation Specialist to join our successful Human Resources team at our office in Markham, ON; this is a permanent, full-time position.

The Role:

  • Work with senior leaders to develop annual merit increase guidelines and lead the annual pay review process from planning to execution, including communication
  • Assist in the development and administration of variable incentive pay plans
  • Participate and conduct competitive market assessments and benchmarking research
  • Manage day-to-day compensation activities including revision and development of job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and monitoring and maintaining of job rate structures and job titles
  • Maintain compensation database and prepare periodic or special reports as required

What you will bring:

  • Expert MS Excel skills required; a working knowledge of MS Access preferred
  • 3+ years of work experience in a similar role
  • Working toward Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation would be an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of point factor job evaluation, market benchmarking, and experience administering and maintaining compensation planning
  • Strong oral, written and analytical skills
  • Ability to creatively translate pay plan concepts into workable tools
  • Previous experience working in auto dealership industry ideal (or related retail industry experience with familiarity developing variable pay plans)
